I 'd like to get a discussion going on ways to do some shows in our prospective areas.... what area are you in?
what are your craft show fears or experiences for the newcomer?
we will keep it short and sweet for this first blog post. and for your entertainment, I have included the first Texasartfire Guild Collection.

I kind of dont like doing the shows anymore.. although I love to talk. PPl do buy from who they know and I can get my whole life story in 5 minutes heheh ( kidding) Im in the NE of Houston and just did a show in Upper Kirby with etsy/houston artists. I loved meeting ppl I ve only known on line for a few years.
ReplyDeleteI think Jinx wanted us to set up districts since texas is so big, to have shows in person in our local regions.. preferably free ones.
I m going to write about that in coming days.
I've only done one "live" show: 4th of July in Friendswood. Very disappointing, but weather caused issues with the set up. I might try it again next year.
ReplyDeleteI have trouble giving up my usual commitments on weekends in order to do a craft show.
thats cus you are a good dad I bet. The fall shows tend to be spotty, cus of the weather. When it is great weather ( finally) in texas, no one wants to hit an indoor show, but outdoors do great I think.
ReplyDeletebut if we can do an indoor summer or winter show, we might do well. I want to do a small one during the week at a lunch thing at some big office building downtown. any ideas?
